Blood pressure is the pressure that blood exerts on vessel walls. When the pressure is higher than normal, it is called high blood pressure, or hypertension. However, when it is lower than normal, it is called low blood pressure, or hypotension. While hypertension and hypotension some similarities, they differ in others. While they alike in that they both have symptoms, there differences. Hypertension is a very dangerous condition as there are few symptoms through which this problem can be easily identified. Sometimes there are no symptoms at all. Hypotension with hypertension in that it has more symptoms then hypertension. Consequently, patients with either condition face equal health hazards if they do not receive medical treatment in time. When they according to diet, it is found that the intake of salt is bad for both conditions. However, they in that high blood pressure patients cannot have as much salt in their diet as the low blood pressure patients can. Furthermore, hypertensive patients are advised to eat as little meat as possible as the intake of proteins and fats is bad for them.
